When Qkey launched its platform in South Africa, Ster-Kinekor saw it as a great opportunity to further enhance its service offering. As the first network of its kind worldwide, Qkey is set to take the advertising and marketing world to a new level.
Qkey is like a TV or radio channel but for a mobile phone. Brands can tag their advertising messages with a Q-number that will allow consumers to find out more by simply 'Turning On and Tuning In' to any brand's own enhanced mobile channel. It's the power of mobile behind each advertising and communication message.

What we did
We designed a visually rich iPhone application for Ster-kinekor's game offerings. It is to be used to promote new releases and offer their customers additional services related to particular games. We delivered an on-brand, fully unique concept which was widely accepted.
Designing the UX for a single device is easy
In todays world we're flooded with options, specifically around devices to consume and digest information. This makes it difficult to design that 'perfect experience'. But, designing for a specific device is so much easier if you know what users are using to conceive the 'ultimate' experience. As we were designing an iPhone application we could utilise it's out the box functionality...
Rich mobile experience
We definitely took full advantage of the iPhones screen size, high definition display and multi-touch capabilities. As our aim was to promote upcoming games, and uplift interest with the use of rich content... this made our job incredibly simple. Providing rich content = enthralled potential customers.
